Hon. Prof. Dr. Sunil Baliram Gaikwad Receives Prestigious Muknayak Journalist Award from Lord Buddha TV

Mumbai, Maharashtra: In a momentous ceremony marking the 13th anniversary of Lord Buddha TV, the distinguished former Member of Parliament, Honorable Prof. Dr. Sunil Baliram Gaikwad, hailing from Latur, has been honored with the Muknayak Journalist Award. The award ceremony took place at Yashwantrao Chavan Hall in Mumbai and was graced by esteemed dignitaries.

Former Social Welfare Minister of the Government of Maharashtra and ex-Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai, presented the award to Dr. Gaikwad. The event saw the presence of prominent figures, including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, former Social Welfare Minister Rajkumar Badole, and Lord Buddha TV Directors Bhaiyaji Kherkar and Sachin Mun.

Dr. Gaikwad, known for his significant contributions during his tenure as a Member of Parliament, particularly for advocating the Prevention of Dalit Atrocities Act, was recognized for his outstanding service. He passionately addressed critical issues in the Lok Sabha, including advocating for the naming of all government libraries after Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and proposing the establishment of an International Pali University at Ajintha Caves by the Central Government.

The Muknayak Journalist Award, bestowed by Lord Buddha TV, acknowledges Dr. Gaikwad’s impactful work and dedication to the betterment of society. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis conveyed his greetings through a video message, adding to the significance of the occasion.

The ceremony also witnessed the launch of Lord Buddha TV’s Buddha Play app on Android and iOS, inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Social Welfare Ramdas Athawale. Representatives from each district in Maharashtra were present, reflecting the widespread acknowledgment of Dr. Gaikwad’s achievements.
